President of an independent insurance agency, advising individuals and all size businesses relative to life, health, employee benefits and private pension plans;

Chaired an Arizona House of Representatives Subcommittee on Health Care Quality in 1987;

From 1993 to 2003 he and his wife, Nancy, managed the association health plan for the Arizona Small Business Association;

2006-2007 was the President to the Arizona Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors;

Past board member, lobbyist for the Arizona Association of Health Underwriters;

Past national board member of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors;

Formerly, a registered lobbyist for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – NAIFA-Arizona;

In 2006 had a bill sponsored, lobbied through the legislature and signed by the Governor that required all health insurance companies to file their base rates and index rates with the AZ Department of Insurance which gave consumers and brokers some assistance in determining how health insurance rates are established;

In 2007 had a bill sponsored, lobbied and eventually signed by the governor that required all health insurers to use a uniform health questionnaire for all small businesses;

Current member of the Continuing Education Committee at the Arizona Department of Insurance;

Contributing columnist to the Business Journal since 1987 as well as the Arizona Capitol Times and the Arizona Republic. 

He and Nancy have 4 children, 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren!
