You can QuickSwitch your current maintenance medication prescription, or you can start with a new prescription. Our Pharmacy Product Associates will contact your prescribing physician to initiate the transfer process.

  • To QuickSwitch your current prescription, just call CIGNA Tel-Drug, toll free, 1-800-285-4812 and choose Option 1. Please have your prescription medication information as well as the prescribing physician name and phone number available when you call. Or visit us at the Prescription Center at www.teldrug.com . Complete the simple online Transfer Process forms. To submit a new prescription online visit the Prescription Center, select Order Prescriptions, and complete the new prescription order forms.

  • To order by mail, just complete the brief Patient Profile included on this page, enclose your doctor's original, handwritten prescription(s) and your copayment (by check, money order or credit card) and mail everything to us. Once you have enrolled, your medication is typically in your mailbox within five days.

NEED MEDICATION IMMEDIATELY?

Ask your doctor to write two prescriptions:

  • One prescription for up to a 30-day supply. Have it filled at a local CIGNA HealthCare participating pharmacy so you can start your medication right away.

  • Send us the second prescription immediately using the Patient Profile included on this page. Once you have enrolled your prescription is typically in your mailbox within five days.

TO ORDER REFILLS

  • When should you order? Your CIGNA Tel-Drug prescription label and your receipt both alert you ahead of time, so you won't be without medication. You can order online, by phone or by mail.

  • Internet: Use your online refill order form process. Visit the Prescription Center at www.teldrug.com (click on Order Prescriptions). You can order with confidence. The site is designed to safeguard your medical and credit card information.

  • Toll-free phone: 1-800-835-3784 You can order 24 hours a day. Just have your CIGNA HealthCare ID number, major credit card and prescription number ready.

  • Mail: Use the CIGNA Tel-Drug Order Form included with your medication.

  • Forgot to order? Place your order right away, but call us to request overnight or second-day shipping which is available at an additional charge.

  • No refills remaining? Ask your doctor for a new prescription and send it to us with your completed Order Form and copayment.

GENERICS OR BRAND NAMES?

Your CIGNA Tel-Drug prescription will be filled with a generic medication when available, medically appropriate and authorized by your physician.

  • Your doctor can request that we fill your prescription with a brand-name drug by specifying that on the original prescription that you send to us.

  • Choosing a brand name drug may mean a higher copayment, depending on your pharmacy plan.

  • To check, just call us toll-free, 1-800-835-3784. We'll tell you if the brand-name drug is covered by your plan and what, if any, additional copayment will be necessary.

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • If your order is delayed you will be contacted by a CIGNA Tel-Drug Customer Service Representative.

  • For a faster shipping, you can request overnight or second-day delivery for an additional fee.

  • For medications you need immediately, or for less than a 30-day supply, fill your prescription at a local CIGNA HealthCare participating pharmacy.

  • Your Doctor can authorize a year's supply by specifying three refills of a 90-day prescription. By law, CIGNA Tel-Drug can dispense only the quantity prescribed by your doctor.
